In May, our students in Years Three and Five undertake NAPLAN (National Literacy and Numeracy Assessments) testing.
The NAPLAN tests are developed using the nationally agreed Statements of Learning for English and Mathematics, and include tests in Reading, Writing, Language Conventions (Spelling, Grammar and Punctuation) and Numeracy.
The performance of over 1 million students from 9000 schools across Australia is analysed to produce the Student Report that parents receive. Included with the Student Report is information to help parents read and understand the report.
The NAPLAN Student Report is just one element of the information that we have about student achievement in literacy and numeracy, the College also provides comprehensive information to parents in parent/teacher interviews and bi-annual student reports.
Our school results on the NAPLAN are excellent, and details of our school scores are included in the Annual Report which is published at the end of the year and made available on our website. Copies are also available from Administration.
