St. Michael’s College achieved outstanding results at the Sunshine Coast Junior Eisteddfod, with the Junior and Senior Choirs each taking out first place in their sections, and the Senior Concert Band earning third place in a highly competitive field

Each choir and the band performed three carefully selected pieces, showcasing a wide range of styles and musical skill.

The Eisteddfod is one of Queensland’s most prestigious youth performance events, drawing more than 6,000 competitors across 21 days. Adjudicated by doctorate-qualified performers, award-winning composers and veteran educators, it’s an event that pushes performers to achieve their best in front of a live audience.

St. Michael’s College Head of Music Clint Allen said the said the results were a testament to the talent and dedication of the young vocalists and instrumentalists.

“Our students performed with skill and professionalism. To come away with these results against such strong competition shows just how much effort they have put into rehearsals and preparation, we couldn’t be prouder,” Mr Allen said.

Congratulations to all our performers for representing St. Michael’s College with excellence and passion.
